Holy Week 2026

From the event of Pentecost onwards "the Church has never failed to come together to celebrate the paschal mystery: reading those things "which were in all the scriptures concerning [Christ]" (Luke 24:27), celebrating the eucharist in which "the victory and triumph of his death are again made present" (Trent, XIII)." - Vatican II, Sacrosanctum Concilium, 6.

We kindly invite everyone who wants to celebrate with us the passion, death and resurrection of Christ and renew their own baptismal promises to join us during Holy Week.

All celebrations will take place at the Eendrachtskapel, Eendrachtsstraat 95, Rotterdam, except, of course, for the Chrism Mass, which will take place at the Cathedral.

1 April Spy Wednesday: Diocesan Chrism Mass

19:30 Chrism will be consecrated and Holy Oils blessed by the Bishop of Rotterdam.

19:30 Mass of the Last Supper of the Lord + Adoration

3 April Good Friday

19:30 Liturgy of the Passion of the Lord.

NB: If you want to, you can bring flowers for the veneration of the Cross. Please only bring white and yellow flowers, which we can then use for the floral decorations for Easter.

4 April Easter Vigil
